The L.I.F.E. (Lindsey Integrates Family Education) Family Literacy Project is funded by a federal grant. It began its operations in 2002 and has procured funding through June 2008. The program is open to all Lindsey Hopkins students who are parents or are responsible for raising a child. Parenting classes are offered daily. Remedial tutoring is available for parents and their children. Tutoring sessions are held on campus or at libraries near the families’ homes. There are also monthly group P.A.C.T. activities. These activities include visits to museums, the zoo, and the book fair. All is free of charge to families. |
